The street lamp category includes lamps specifically sold for the purpose of walkway, campus, parking-lot lamps, which are similar (exterior) lamps, which are typically affixed on a pole/mast (there are exceptions to the rule – for example roadway lighting in tunnels).
According to a new market research study by ElectroniCast, the consumption value of LED-based streetlights and panels in the United States reached $76.3 million in 2011 (up from $48.32 million in 2010) and is forecast to increase at an average annual growth rate of 42.4 percent to $447.6 million (deployed) in 2016.
