SHANGHAI, CHINA - Future Lighting Solutions, along with Beijing Century Zhubang Energy Technology and Optosys, successfully completed the redesign and retrofitting of halide lamps at the ShanXi Taiyuan Airport, replacing them with more energy efficient and environmentally friendly LED lighting.
The airport terminal had been using two types of halide lamps (70W and 150W), which resulted in large energy consumption, a high failure rate and excessive heat.
Future Lighting Solutions developed an LED Solution which Optosys then built for the airport’s ticketing hall and lounge areas. Using Future Lighting Solutions’ exclusive online SSL Designer tool to calculate the customer’s return on investment, it was determined that the LUXEON® Rebel ES was the best LED lighting product for the project. The result is a reliable, environmentally friendly lighting system that realizes a 60% savings in energy consumption.
